Peter Jantzen
Chief Revenue Officer
Peter has more than 30 years experience at the highest level of management in marine related industries. His top achievements include: Founding Deep Seabed Mining (DSM) company Blue Minerals, developing and rolling out a comprehensive marketing lifecycle marketing model for Finnish multinational Wartsila, re-branding Singapore listed Otto Marine and raising USD 100 Mio for expansion, Managing and growing the profitability of Viking Life-Saving Equipment Asia and setting up its manufacturing in Asia.
Following a career in export sales in Denmark, he emigrated to Australia in 1988 as International Marketing Manager for Gestetner and became the Danish Trade Commissioner in Melbourne in 1991-1994 promoting Danish exports to Australia. In 1995 he moved to Singapore as Managing Director of the Asian operations for Danish world leader in marine safety equipment, Viking Life-Saving Equipment and grew the market share and profitability of the group in South East Asia, HK and Korea. He was the president of the Danish Business Association in Singapore (DABS) 1998-1999. In 2003 he moved back to Australia and founded Jantzen Consulting and worked projects for American Express, Australian Telecom (Telstra), Siebel Systems and Singapore listed marine company Ezra/Emas.
In 2009, he was headhunted into the top management (CCO) of Singapore listed Otto Marine Pty Ltd which had a shipyard building offshore vessels (anker handlers, PSV’s, offshore workboats), securing multimillion dollar orders as well as developing a new strategy and re-branding upon which USD 100 million was raised for expansion. In 2010, he negotiated the building of the first deep seabed mining (DSM) vessel, which was his first entry into the DSM industry.
In 2011 he was headhunted into the Finnish multinational Wartsila, world leader in large gas/diesel engines for ships and power plants and tasked with developing a comprehensive new marketing model and approach for the groups marine business – Marine Lifecycle Solutions (MLS). This was rolled out in 2012 and became a highly successful tool which secured large orders for the group globally and is still in use to this day. Peter also expanded Wartsila’s strategic plan to include DSM.
In 2014, he resigned from Wartsila and founded the consulting company Capital Power Management Ltd (London) and subsequently founded the DSM company, Blue Minerals (BM), which was sponsored by Jamaica in 2019. In 2021 he secured Swiss multinational Allseas Group as partner and investor and later that year successfully acquired a 75,000 km2 high value resource license area in The Pacific Ocean which was granted through application to the International Seabed Authority (ISA). Since 2021, Blue Minerals has conducted three (3) successful resource valuation and scientific expeditions at approximately 4,500 meters depth in its area in the Pacific Ocean.The company was fully acquired by Allseas in January 2024.
In February 2024, Peter joined Impossible Metals as Chief Revenue Officer and will lead the team to apply for and secure valuable DSM license area(s).
Peter holds a Bachelors (BBA) and Masters Degree (MBA) from the Copenhagen Business School (CBSD), Denmark.
Privately, Mr. Jantzen is a competitive tennis player and golfer. He is Seniors Danish singles and doubles tennis champion – having won the singles championships in 2009, 2012, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2022 and representing Denmark at the World Championships in France in 2015 and in Germany in 2018.
